The Rust Belt, an area in the Midwest known for its manufacturing history, is becoming a key location for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
As more people buy electric cars, there’s a growing need for charging stations, especially in areas away from the coasts. Recently, about 600 new fast-charging stations were added across the U.S. in just three months, which is a 7% increase. Now, there are nearly 9,000 public fast-charging locations available nationwide, and the number is increasing quickly.
This development is significant because it supports the shift towards electric vehicles, making it easier for drivers to charge their cars in regions that were previously less focused on EV infrastructure.
